Workspace Solutions

This project focussed primarily on the removal of legacy mainframe equipment and replacing it with a centralised thin client architecture using Citrix. This involved the standardisation and delivery of 2000 terminals across several sites in the UK.

Mail Consolidation and Storage

This project aimed to consolidate 75 Lotus Notes email servers into a new hosted environment running cluster services with an integrated SAN. The project spanned several sites and countries totalling 20,000 users. The total number of servers facilitating this user base was reduced to 12.

Domain and Workspace Upgrade

This project involved the design and implementation of an Infrastructure upgrade from NT4 to Windows 2003 and desktops to Windows XP. This spanned 35 Sites across the country with in excess of 1000 desktops and 80 servers. Windows was integrated with GroupWise and Novell Netware for messaging only.

Migration, Remote Working and Mobility

This project focussed on the design and migration of 550 desktops from Windows 2000 to Windows XP. Phase 2 required secure networking for Blackberry and Outlook Web Access using dual factor authentication with Secure-ID, integrated into ISA Server.

WAN Optimisation and Replacement

The purpose of this project was to remove the Frame Relay network and replace it with a fully managed IP VPN architecture. This spanned approximately 150 different sites across several countries. The WAN was then fine tuned using a range of technologies to deliver vastly improved application performance delivery.

Network Replacement

The aim of this project was to replace legacy core and distribution switches running on ATM/ FDDI with a reengineered Ethernet network. The project spanned 2 large sites within the UK and 6000 users. The network was completely re-architected to conform to current industry standards of redundancy and availability.
